About Us

Seagry Pre-school is a small village preschool situated in the rural village of Upper Seagry and is part of Seagry Primary School. Seagry School and Pre-school are part of the Diocese of Bristol Academies Trust (DBAT) and governance of the school's Academy Council.

The Pre-school aims to cater for the individual needs of every child in our care, to allow them to reach their full potential.  We do this by providing the opportunity to learn through play in a safe, stimulating environment. The importance of play for pre-school children cannot be underestimated and Seagry Pre-School is founded on the importance of child-directed play for under-5s. The highly skilled early years practitioners at Seagry Pre-School observe the children taking the lead in play and help direct their play to enhance learning experiences.

The Pre-school boasts a large garden area allowing the children to enjoy regular daily physical exercise as well as the ability to work creatively in a large open space. Children are able to expand their knowledge and understanding of the world through exploration and investigation.
